I've probably mentioned this to the group before, but it is so good that I
have to do it again.  In Texas at our state library convention we always
present an Administrator of the Year award for the most supportive
administrator.  One year the administrator said in his acceptance speech
that *he* started out to be a librarian when he began a master's degree.
He said after taking a couple of courses that he discovered how difficult
the coursework was and how hard the work would be, so he switched to
administration!  Needless to say, he is *very* supportive of librarians in
his district.
