ELEM: Flexible scheduling

Hi! I'm Lorrie MacFarlane.  I recently was hired as an elementary school
library media specialist.  We will be moving into a new school soon and the
principal wants to incorporate flexible scheduling.  I have some ideas, but
could you experienced librarians tell me what has worked for you?  Did you
keep a fixed schedule for K-2 and then use flexible scheduling for grades 3
and up? Did you have classes coming in for 2 or 3 week cycles for
instruction and then have flexibility afterwards?  Please give me all the
input you can.  I would like to propose a solid workable flexibe schedule to
