Newsgroups: va-pen.mailing-list.lm_net Path: rloving From: rloving@pen.k12.va.us (Robert N. Loving) Subject: TARGET: new facility plans Message-ID: <DypB7y.tGB@pen.k12.va.us> Date: Thu, 3 Oct 1996 13:09:34 GMT Organization: Virginia's Public Education Network Hello! I am a library science student at Longwood College. I am also currently employed as a media specialist in a 2-5 Elementary school. We are planning a new library to be built on this site within the next five years. The new library will serve some 1500 K-5 students. When we are planning, we wish to make sure we plan carefully for the future. I would like to hear from you concerning what things you consider a "MUST" for a new library like this and what things we should definitely NOT do! We want to plan so that future and emerging technologies can be easily integrated when they come available. What should we be sure to do to assure that this will happen? Please send me a message at rloving@pen.k12.va.us. I greatly appreciate your ideas and any experiences you may have had similar to this. I will post a HIT when I receive some results. THANKS. --- Robert N. Loving(Bobby) Librarian, Central Elem. School Fluvanna Co. Public Schools (804) 589-8318 rloving@pen.k12.va.us
