Group: It has been interesting reading about "you all". Guess I can add my $.02 worth. My undergrad degree is in Christian Education. I was a minister for two years. Meanwhile, I received a certificate to teach elementary. Between having kids I went ahead and finished the M. Ed. program, kept me from going crazy changing diapers and burped upon clothes. When the second baby was in first grade I began sub teaching. Three years later I accepted an aide position in an elementary library. I knew then I had found a home. I love helping students and teachers find materials/indormation and good literature (and find some brain candy;) After a year there I began to work toward a certification in Library Science. Now I am just --- this close to the certification and have been offered a position as a Library Media Specialist. I read and read and read. Actually, my baby was the one who told me I'm be a great librarian. We share books. She catagloged her collection in the spring. A future librarian?? Probably. (Or maybe a bookstore owner?) It's great to know we are so diverse and yet so similiar. Terry Day, Libraria Media Specialist Wedgwood Elementary and Walnut Grove Elementary Florissant, MO tlday@stlnet.com
