You are assuming that you are receiving the mail directly.  The web
scavengers read newgroups, and those don't include headers.  It is true
that if you have entered your e-mail address in the configuration portion
of Netscape or another browser, each site you visit can collect your
name.  Of course you can spoof that, too.
