It seems that an English teacher from another high school in the district has recommended that AP English classes read Atwood's _The handmaid's tale_. He is concerned about the explicit sex in it and wondered about its appropriateness for high school escpecially in the present political climate. Are any schools using this books for ap or high school English. If so, have there been any repercussions? Thanks, Michele Michele W.
