Re: Librarians and reading

I am avid reader--adult, children, ya, but I know that many of my
colleagues are not readers.  It saddens me, but what can you do?  Its kind
of an oxymoron!  I am also amazed by the number of teachers who do not
read.  Studies have been done that show that teachers do not read more
than the average public.

I was talking to a high school English teacher from another district.  I
was telling him about some good ya books and he was astounded that I was
interested in reading because he said that all his media specialist is
interested in is the Internet!!  Oh well.  Michele
