This would not be a good idea. Much if not most of the information you
find on the Internet is protected by copyright law. There need be no
indcation of copyright status on the page,yet the material is protected
just the same. If you start downloading whole sites to your server
without asking permission BEFOREHAND, you may be held liable for the
infringement of many copyrights. When copying a web page to a local
server for students/staff to access, you are likely exceeding the limits
imposed by fair use, and you could be held accountable.
