Check out http://www.headbone.com and click on "Derby." The headbone
derby is a "contest" designed to teach kids in grades 4-8 internet
searching skills. The site is free, and kids can win prizes for
themselves and their school.

Headbone also provides an online guide for teachers. Rather than explain
it all here, check the site for yourself, and see if it fits your needs.
