Reading Nancy Stearns' response to the "man" thread confirms my faith in
the human race. Beautifully done Nancy! It is the same argument we are
having in the church over inclusive language which is causing so many to
quake, fuss, and sputter. Some inclusive language is inspiring in its
insights - some it downright awkard. We must strive, however, to listen
to each other - not flame - and attempt to understand the hurt behind
words in the eyes of our brothers and sisters.
