Our school is researching SIRS Windows to use an an automated library system for a school district that has 22 libraries with about 230,000 total library items and about 12,000 patrons. There is a possibility that another, smaller school district will join us in the future. We would appreciate replies from school libraries on the SIRS system that would give us any of the following information: 1. Union catalog for the district that allows us to see all holdings AND just an individual school's holdings, AND/OR even a block of schools, such as all elementary, all middle, all high schools? 2. Single site server? What size is recommended? 3. Z39.50 client and Z39.50 server? 4. How many concurrent users on server at same time and what size is the server? 5. E-mail address of a tech person in your school that our tech person can talk to? 6. Have you recently changed from another system to SIRS and do you have any advice for a transition? 7. How is the support from the company? Thanking you in advance!
