Accelerated Reader vs. Electronic Bookshelf/Reading Counts

I have had electronic bookshelf for a couple of years.  It has been
hidden on my server.  Why?  I was waiting for a day when I could dust it
off and start the program off with enough books and tests to make the
startup worthwhile.  Recently, My school was visited by a Permabound Rep
taking about Accelerated Reader.  She some how got the hear of my
principal and he now wants to scrap Electronic Bookshelf and by in to
Accelerated Reader.  Please if any of you can give me reviews of both
programs I would appreciate it.
