Dear English, History and Humanities Experts! I am part of a team designing a new Humanities course for our Grade 9's. I am looking for literature connections in the form of plays, short stories, novels which might relate to key events in European and North American history between 1450 and 1815: The Reformation, Renaissance, Scientific Revolution, Enlightenment, American Revolution, French Revolution, Industrial Revolution. If anyone has any bright ideas as to what would be most suitable to Grade 9 readers; the teachers are particularly looking for Canadian authors with female protagonists but any other ideas would be welcome. There might even be a good reference out there which has such connections. Thank you LM-NETTERS.
