Oops--I missed one in my earlier "HIT". It's a great, detailed response, once more affirming the "Cultures of the World" series. Melinda White, LMS Tumwater HS Tumwater, WA, 98501 E-mail: mwhite@tumwater.k12.wa.us ***** I really like Marshall Cavendish's _Cultures of the world_ series. I have most of them now. Good, solid information. Up to date. 128 pp. Good illustrations, maps. Readable by all but my poorest readers, but not condescending to my better ones. (A tough line to draw, IMHO, and Marshall Cavendish has done this very well.) $15.99 ea. Strong bindings; attractive, "un-busy" covers; series stands out well on the shelves, especially two or three together. Good titles -- easy to catalog and access: title of book is the name of the country, period. No finding the name of the country deep into the title. Kids use one title, they'll be back for more! =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
