Hi Terri: I just finished doing a brief review of exactly the book you need. It's called Using Picture Storybooks to Teach Literary Devices: Recommended Books for Children and Young Adults, by Susan Hall, published by Oryx Press, 1576563501. It has an entry for inference. It lists a good 20 or so books, and explains how to use each one to teach inference.
