No, it isn't too soon. Hardly anything gets published in December; I review
for Booklist and Kirkus and we are deep into reviewing March 2003 books
now. There is an NYPL committee that is, well, committed to reading and
discussing books all year; they have it down to a science. And it doesn't take
very long at all to print a little pamphlet these days. And so far as I can find,
there is no electronic version of it on nypl.org
