I just had to get in on this one. Last year I had a class of fifth graders come in and their teacher had actually told me in advance that they needed books on other cultures and what daily life is like. When it came time to select books, a group of them told me that their teacher specifically told them to get a book on family life in China. When the teacher returned, and I asked him what example he had used to explain the requirements of the project, and he told me China. So which is worse not knowing or "knowing"? {8-) I just had to laugh when he asked the class which country he said *NOT* to go looking for, and they came up with the same answer. Have a great day!
