Hi all:

To answer some of your questions:

Go to my site and buy through Canada. The Canadian version is the British
version, cheaper and less costly to ship.
URL is http://www.eharry.org/store.htm or
direct to Chapters
http://www.chapters.indigo.ca/default.asp?section=kids&boutique=HarryPotter&AID=9874024&PID=695703

There is a big difference between the British language and the American
language. The title of the original book is Harry Potter and the
Philosopher's Stone and that is how I know it.

Words? Well, there are a LOT of books that have the word "damn" in
them!!! If I pulled every book out of my K5 library that had a swear word
that was uttered by a character, I would have to pull a few!

And the word "effing" .... and??? IS that a swear word? Do you not think
that could mean "frigging" ??? That is a British swearing word.

He could have said "flippin hell" like my father-in-law (A Brit) does.

I, myself will have both versions in the library when we open again in August.

Enjoy!

Carolyn
