For the last two years I have been using VendPrint in my high
school library. (2400 students)
It has been GREAT! It was developed to control printing in
public/academic/school libraries, and does a great job.
Waste printing has been greatly reduced, prank printing has
virtually been eliminated, toner cartridges last a whole semester
instead of just 3-4 weeks! My print load went from requiring 3
printers to only needing 2 printers. The initial cost was $995
and annual cost is $199, but you make up for that annual cost in
reduced toner cartridges and paper costs.
