I have several ways of getting my books returned that works well. Our
students that participate in sports must clear their library fines and
overdues before they get a clearance card to participate in a sport. This
is done by giving the secretary that does the clearance cards an overdue
list. The other way I get books back is at Christmas time I have an amnesty
week. Students can return their books during this week and their fine will
be deleted, if they have a fine there is a sign-up sheet
to delete any existing fine. I also do this the last week before we start
inventory at the end of the year. It has worked wonderfully.
