I think Shonda is right. I read about this in either the Feb. SLJ or the
Jan. Texas Library Journal. (I read both this week so I don't remember
which.)

I think I remember Carol Simpson saying something last year about there
being a lawsuit (or people are gearing up for a lawsuit) against
Turnitin.com because of this--submitting / taking students' works and
placing them in the company databases without the students' permission,
in order to check against past / future problems of plagiarism.

However, I may have been dreaming this....<g>
