A man just called me and is hoping I can help him track down a series of
books he read when he was in elementary school back in the early '70s.
Here is the description he gave me.

The books were about a young boy (he thinks his name is Eddie) who
often visits his absent-minded professor friend next door. The two
spend time inventing things together.

Anyone?
