Dear LM_NET Colleagues,

I would like to affirm that we are very glad that library students are
participating in LM_NET. Some folks may have been put off by library
students requesting assistance with their assignments, so I want to
clarify our position in thios regard.

Please know that library students may participate in LM_NET to whatever
degree they are willing and able and need to. They can ask any questions
they want to ask.

I do hope that we aren't flooded with assignment questions, but that has
not happened in the past to any great degree, and I don't expect it to
happen often in the future.

Please offer these students whatever support you are able, including
positive suggestions and comments. Please remember when you were working
full time teaching and taking 6 or 9 or more units at night. For me, it
was quite an unreal world, and I appreciated any help and suppoprt with my
assignments that was available.
