Hello Great Brain! I am trying to decide what to get for my next laptop. I noticed at the NECC conference that virtually all of the presenters were using Macs. I have always used PCs, mostly because all of my schools and worksites have had them. I am looking for input from people WHO HAVE USED BOTH. I have searched for reviews and a lot of the discussions of which OS is better sink quickly into "PCs (or Macs, depending upon which one the writer doesn't have) are EVIL!" I would just like some rational discussion on why you use the OS you do. Background: I bring work home (don't we all) and as I said, we use PCs at work. I am starting my PhD studies this fall, so I am doing more and more presentations. I am starting to do a good bit with pictures and video (Windows Movie Maker, Photostory, and Adobe Elements) Would I have to buy separate Mac versions of Adobe? I saw a program at NECC that would parallel and allow you to use Windows products on your Mac. Is anyone using this, and if so, how happy are you? Thanks for the input. I need an opinion and I know you have them! Please respond to me directly. -- Linda Martin Teacher Librarian and Storyteller Northeast Georgia Library Media Specialist of the Year Gainesville, GA lindamartin423@gmail.com -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
