[LM_NET] Vent: use of library

Hi All,

I just wanted to vent and share what the library is going to be used for
next week. Yesterday I received a call from our culinary arts teacher
telling me he would be up on Monday to "set up." I asked what he was talking
about and he said that since our V.P. had recently passed the bar exam and
was being inducted a big party was being thrown in the library in her honor
on Tuesday for about fifty people.
While passing the bar is indeed a significant accomplishment I still have
not quite figured out how this warrents a party in the educational system on
school time or why the educational program should be disrupted for this.
This is not the first time I've been shut down this year for things of this
nature. Sometimes I wonder if my administration really want a media center
or just a conference room. Thanks for listening.
