I've really come to understand the term "digital native" while watching my 19 month old grandson in action. Last Fall I picked up a Flip digital camera up for my daughter and her husband to use with the grandson. She tried it out (simple interface, easy to use, plugs right into computer by USB connector) but had problems down-loading the videos. So she put it away. A few weeks ago she needed to record something for a library school class and picked it up again. She finally got the hang of it and has sent me 2 videos. Now she tells me that the grandson, picks it up now, records a scene and brings it to her to replay. The camera is obviously very simple to use and rugged as well. Schools are buying them to use as cheap alternatives to full sized video cameras. http://www.theflip.com/press_050107.shtml Josephine Dervan, MLS -Online Instructor School of Education, University of Wisconsin-Stout dervan at optonline.net He who has a library and a garden, wants for nothing- Cicero -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
