A most wonderfully positive experience with LM_NET librarians just presented itself to me: not at all unusual. LM_NETTERS take time to read the postings and to respond to requests for information and support. You make others look good to colleagues and administrators and should be praised for it. I, too, believe that most of us are out there doing our best for students, faculty, administration, parents, etc., and trying to stay on the cutting edge to construct the most effective, ethical and efficient information literacy platform for our schools. We are, for the most part, helpful to all and it seems that if we present ourselves as expert in what we do, others respect us and rely on us to steer them correctly. I say three cheers to us! Is there a better group of professionals anywhere?
