[LM_NET] Definition Needed: The Role of a School Media Specialist

HELP! I am being given a major opportunity tomorrow and need some guidance!

I have been asked to attend a meeting tomorrow with various teachers, 
administrators, and the tech department. In this meeting, I will be asked to 
identify what I see my purpose/role/vision as being regarding 21st century skills 
instruction in my grades 3-5 building. As well, I will be asked to specify what my 
role is as a media specialist in our building.

I feel as though this is my chance to prove the value of a media specialist to an 
elementary building and to sell myself as an integration necessity. And, so, I need 
to make sure I get my words right! 

If you were given the chance to lay out on the line exactly what you do for a 
building, what would you say?
