With tongue planted firmly in cheek:
1. Getting down and up to reach those bottom shelves keeps my knees and hips
flexible
2. Work toward my 10,000 steps a day as I walk back and forth putting those books
found in wrong location in right location
3. Revise my alphabetical and numerical order lessons to see how they might be made
more effective
4. Review what is in collection not only by shelving but by all the books that need
turning and flipping so spine label is facing out and in right direction
5. Find out what books are most popular without having to run stats
6. Find the true meaning of dirty books and am simultaneously encouraged to wash
hands frequently
7. The kids are so willing to help you put the books in order and put them up (see
numbers 2 and 3).
8. It feels SO good when it's all done -- just in time for the carts to start
filling up again.
