Initially I was very skeptical of Wikipedia, but I have come to use it on more and more occasions. Back in December 2005 the accuracy of scientific entries in Wikipedia was compared with those in Britannica. The contest was a toss-up. This was done based on 42 entries that were compared by "experts" selected by the magazine Nature. The people doing the comparison did not know the source of the entries that were judged. Wikipedia has its own entry concerning this comparison, but you can also view it from this link: http://www.wired.com/culture/lifestyle/news/2005/12/69844 Ed Nizalowski, SMS Newark Valley High School Newark Valley, NY enizalowski@nvcs.stier.org "It takes honeybees ten million foraging trips to gather enough nectar to make one pound of honey." Presenting to faculty today and there are some big advocates of it who will claim it is just as reliable as Worldbook.
