Have you ever had the dubious pleasure (odiferous as well) of a returned book
covered in mushy banana? (The book and banana had been sharing space in a student's
backpack for quite a while.) The book was a goner. Then there are all the soaking
wet books these days, from improperly closed water bottles in backpacks. I'm
beginning to wonder whether I should invest in plastic book bags......sigh.
