Courses Eliminated: Children's Lit.

Talk about courses eliminated....how about children's literature and
adolecent literature.  I recently moved to a secondary position after 20
years at the elementary level, so naturally I began to look around for a
course that could give me a quick overview of Ad. Lit..  I got a catalog
from SUNY Oswego, which trains teachers......no children's or ad. lit.   I
ordered a catalog from Syracuse U. where I received my Library
Degree.......no children's or ad. lit.  Talk about frustration.  So if they
don't teach cataloging and they don't teach lit., what are they having
Library students do to get these degrees?
