Hi all, I have an alternative for foam dice. I made the happy/sad face die from a gift box. It is the cube that many mugs fit in. I just filled it with newspaper or whatever, to give it a little heft, then made construction paper squares with the happy and sad faces (green and red, of course), laminated them and attached them with tape or glue. I used narrow book tape to seal the edges. It has lasted through many games of glad book, sad book with no damage, and it cost nothing. You could even add some beans inside to make a satisfying noise as it rolls--haven't tried this, though.
