hola....
i'm sorry, but when someone writes and says 'i just graduated from library
school, am starting my first job as a school librarian, so where do i
begin?' i sometimes want to ask 'what did you DO in library school?' i
know all programs are NOT the same, but you must have learned something?
plus, what to DO will vary depending on the job situation you find
yourself in. so, if the school is new to you, wait until you get there to
scope it out first and see where you need to go from there. what *I* need
to do in my alternative ed situation will vary greatly from someone else's
situation.
and if i do come to a public forum, it is -because- i have done research
on a topic already and can't find what i am looking for.
the emails that really crack me up though are the ones that ask how to
unsubscribe or how to use the archives. :) that permanent footer at the
bottom of every email posted to LM_NET has grown larger and larger. :)
