I have one little naive question.: How can New York Public Library have decided already about the books published in 2002? Not only have they read a multitude of books, but I presume they have discussed them, made a decision, AND had the booklet printed ready for sale before December 2002.(All this while I'm still reading reviews in the current November issues of SLJ, Kirkus, Hornbook, BCCB, etc.) Isn't this TOO soon?
